Andrew Sabatino

Prior to Donor Republic, Andrew led Guide Dogs SA/NT to experience significant fundraising growth from $1m to $9m over seven years. Andrew also led and launched a social enterprise by building a Guide Dogs Pet Hotel at the Adelaide Airport. Due to his leadership in fundraising, he chaired the Guide Dogs Australia Fundraising Committee where annual income grew from $53m to $87m.

Andrew is a past national winner of the Fundraising Institute of Australia’s Young Fundraiser of the year award, a Pro Bono Change Maker and an F&P Mover and Shaker. He is now Co-Founder and Director of Donor Republic, one of Australia’s leading Fundraising agencies with a team of over 50 amazing fundraisers partnering with over 120 NFPs.

Ashley's led the team at MonDial for 15 years and has been delivering award winning campaigns for charities in Australia, New Zealand and the UK. The learning from 20 years telephone fundraising experience is high quality conversations achieve lasting results and relationships.

He’s been working to raise fundraising standards as member of FIA’s Code Authority since 2019. Outside of fundraising family, food and dog walking occupy most of Ashley’s time.

With more than 15 years of experience in data and strategic operations, she leads data strategy and business intelligence at Australia for UNHCR.

Erin Hamalainen

After working as a Researcher and Librarian within industries such as media, engineering and mapping, Erin joined The Fred Hollows Foundation seven years ago. Time spent on a wide range of database projects such as telemarketing segmentation and implementation of SalesForce Marketing Cloud ignited her passion for Data Analytics.

She now works collaboratively on projects that makes data visible and exciting to The Fred Hollows Foundation, helping them with decision making and strategies to meet their ambitious targets.

Greg has worked in the NFP sector since 1987 and has gained experience in almost every market in the world.

Greg is currently the National Manager Fundraising for IHC New Zealand in Wellington.

James Watkins

With 12 years’ experience in marketing and fundraising, James loves building sustainable fundraising strategies by better understanding audiences’ motivations, beliefs and behaviour. He developed his fundraising skills while working at The Smith Family and Cancer Council NSW, primarily focused on mass market acquisition and retention activity.

As a Senior Fundraising Strategist at Ntegrity agency, James now leverages his extensive experience to create effective fundraising strategies, regular giving products, donor engagement journeys and fundraising campaigns across a range of individual giving audiences.

Jonathan Storey

Jonathan is a 25-year veteran of direct marketing and fundraising. Currently the Fundraising Director at Environment Victoria, he is responsible for developing the fundraising strategy across all channels and leading the fundraising team that delivers it.

John Burns

John Burns FFIA is one of Australia’s most experienced fundraising practitioners and leaders. After beginning his career with the Australian Red Cross he has worked with Amnesty International Australia and led Fundraising Departments at Médecins Sans Frontières Australia, Bush Heritage and Plan International Australia.

He has been responsible for fundraising programs raising tens of millions of dollars.

John currently sits on the board of the Public Fundraising Regulatory Association and the Finance, Risk and Audit Committee of the Emergency Action Alliance. John works for Marlin Communications as a Senior Advisor specialising in not-for-profit organisational management and culture.

Kat Ho

Kat Ho is a highly experienced fundraiser, having spent more than a decade specialising in donor acquisition at a range of well-known Australian charities, including Mission Australia, ChildFund Australia and Victor Change Cardiac Research Institute.

With a deep understanding of both single and regular giving models, and has built and managed face-to-face fundraising teams, driving significant income growth.

Passionate about ensuring donor quality and long-term retention, Kat has also led the development of donor care communications, trialled new acquisition methods, including live event fundraising, and adopted new technologies to reduce costs and increase efficiency. She is also a long-term member of the PFRA, contributing to the increasing professionalism and governance standards of the sector.

Katie has over 20 years’ experience as a fundraising & marketing professional for not-for-profits across the UK, Australia and NZ. She’s played a key role in the strategic development and growth of many high-profile charities, including The Fred Hollows Foundation in Australia and Amnesty International in Australia and the UK.

Katie joined Orange Sky New Zealand in August 2021, to help build a sustainable future and long-lasting, meaningful relationships with their supporters, as the services and awareness of their work continues to grow in Aotearoa.

Roewen Wishart

Roewen Wishart is a leading Australian authority on high-return fundraising strategies of for-purpose organisations, particularly major gifts and capital campaigns. Roewen is a director of Xponential Group. With over 27 years’ fundraising experience, he helps for-purpose organisations raise funds with high-return capital campaigns, major gifts and gifts in wills programs.

He was a member of the Fundraising Institute of Australia (FIA) Board and the FIA Code Authority. He is a Board member of Conservation International Australia and has been a Board member and volunteer advocate of Diplomacy Training Program, which provides training for human rights activists. He is one of Australia’s internationally Certified Fund Raising Executives (CFRE), and is a Fellow of the Fundraising Institute of Australia.

Having started as a face to face fundraiser, he is has worked for environmental, health and development organisations. He holds a MBA from Melbourne Business School and sits on the boards of the PFRA and Climate Action Network Australia.

Tom is Head of Fundraising at MSF Australia and New Zealand. He is responsible for raising $100m each year from Philanthropy, Gifts in Wills, Corporate Giving, Regular and Cash Giving.
